Renaissance Hotels opened doors in Dubai

Highly anticipated Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai arrives with theatrical design, world class culinary talent and star power. From South Beach to Santiago, Marriott International and Universal Music Group now brings its mega-music series to the U.A.E.

Marriott International announced the latest in its global partnership with Universal Music Group: bringing its music series to the U.A.E. Celebrating the grand opening of Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai, global superstar, Gwen Stefani, performed in this exclusive concert series.

“The spectacular new Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai is theatrical, unexpected and sets the stage for discovering Dubai’s newest neighborhood,” said Brian Povinelli, Senior Vice President & Global Brand Leader, Renaissance Hotels. “With its bold, artful design, vibrant global dining scene and engaging experiences around every corner, the hotel embraces a spirit that inspires guests to discover something wonderfully new every time they travel.”

Located in the thriving Business Bay district, Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai boasts 298 guestrooms, including 65 sprawling suites, all thoughtfully-designed to tell a story. Led by the renowned interior firm WA International, the hotel’s design sets the stage to inspire a sense of spontaneous discovery at every turn: from the dynamic art installation of Dubai’s cityscape that takes center-stage upon arrival, to the cheeky photography in each guestroom, complemented by a Pablo Picasso’s famed camel sketch reimagined into a 3D iron rod sculpture – both playful jests to reframe your stay.

Culinary outlets at Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai are set to become highlights of the city’s prominent and bustling food scene. Chef Masaharu Morimoto will open his first U.A.E. outpost of the famed-eponymous restaurant in December, while Chef David Myers will debut new contemporary concepts Bleu Blanc & BASTA!, which reflect a Southern French farmhouse and an urban interpretation of a Roman trattoria, respectively. BHAR, the Arabic word for spice, will offer indigenous Middle Eastern cuisine and will debut as the hotel opens its doors. Alongside the opening of BHAR, Grounded will serve as the hotel’s premiere coffee shop with unique brewing methods from a variety of international beans.

Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai will feature all of the brand’s unique experiences, including Evenings at Renaissance where guests can connect, socialize, and experience the locale through nightly programming. For the true social discoverer, the hotel’s Navigators will help guests experience the neighborhood’s soul by highlighting hidden gems and handpicked local discoveries.

"We are thrilled to mark this milestone for Renaissance Hotels by bringing this concert series to the Middle East region for the first time,” said Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director Middle East and Africa, Marriott International. “Gwen Stefani has an extremely passionate fanbase worldwide and we’re delighted to provide intimate access and exclusive opportunities for our most loyal members and customers.
