
Turkmenistan Engages In Major Railway Logistics Forum In Minsk
The event brought together over 230 participants from nine countries, including representatives from leading international railway organizations and various national railway companies.
The conference focused on developing effective logistics solutions to boost transit and export freight transport, especially along the East-West-East route and the "Belt and Road" initiative, as well as the "North-South" corridor. Key topics included containerization, multimodal transportation, and the digitalization of railway operations.
Sergei Dubina, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus, emphasized that the conference would strengthen cooperation between railway administrations.
First Deputy Head of the Belarusian Railways Aleksandr Khoroshevich highlighted the positive dynamics in export shipments with Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. He noted that conditions have been created for the delivery of goods via ports in the northwestern region of Russia, Russian ports on the Black and Azov Seas, overland routes toward China and Asian countries, as well as along the International North–South Transport Corridor toward Iran and India, including ports on the Caspian Sea.
The conference served as an effective platform that brought together the interests of all participants in the transport and logistics market.
