UK tourists warned of £1,600 fine over Spain beach rule
People heading to Spain during Easter and the summer are being warned of the rules
UK tourists are being warned they could end up with a huge £1,600 fine for ignoring an important Spain beach rule.
Many British holidaymakers will be heading to Spain during the Easter and summer breaks this year.
But travellers have been reminded that they should follow local laws in place on beaches to avoid any trouble.
A new regulation has made vaping on many public beaches illegal in Spain.
Experts at One Sure Insurance are now warning of the potential legal pitfalls of vaping on Spanish beaches.
You could be fined up to £1,600 (1900 euros) for ignoring the rules, they said.

The experts said: "We urge Britons to familiarise themselves with regulations before travelling abroad, to avoid fines and penalties.
"Certain countries have banned vaping including popular destinations such as France, following suit from Belgium who were the first country to ban the sale of disposable vapes in the EU."
Spain introduced stricter regulations on vaping in public spaces due to public health and environmental concerns.
It is also a good idea to check local laws before a trip as 'certain countries also ban the sale of flavoured vapes, such as in the Netherlands'.
A One Sure Insurance spokesperson said: "For those planning to enjoy their e-cigarettes in the sun, it’s vital to be informed about local laws, especially in countries like Spain where vaping is banned on certain beaches.
"Before travelling, it’s a good idea to consult government resources for your destination to ensure you're up-to-date with current regulations, not those just on vaping.
"If you're unsure, it's always better to be safe and avoid vaping on beaches that may have specific laws in place."
