How to halve the price of your ‘summer holiday’ by travelling before certain date
GOING on holiday one day before the official 'winter season' ends can save you hundreds of pounds.
Holiday Hypermarket has revealed that travelling just one day before the summer season can lead to huge savings.
The travel agency has advised customers to head on holiday just 24 hours before peak season starts, which means you'll technically be on holiday in high season for six out of the seven days... but paying the lower rate.
Departing at the end of a lower-priced season and returning during the start of the higher-priced one can save customers lots of money.
Holiday Hypermarket used the example of the Globales Playa Estepona on the Costa Del Sol.
A seven night all-inclusive package flying from London Gatwick on April 30 to the resort will cost £336pp.

Whereas prices for seven nights in May start from £632pp.
Other advice from Holiday Hypermarket is to book 'odd' dates.
In some cases, booking getaways for eight, 12, or 15 nights can be cheaper than the classic seven, 10, or 14 nights.
You could even get more days away for less.

For anyone who isn't too bothered about hotel dining, then consider self-catering hotels.
These types of stays will likely be lower in price and it's easier to be flexible with meal times.
Holiday Hypermarket recommends Greece for self-catering, with some options as low as £182pp.
Travelling during school summer holidays is always tough on the wallet, but there are a few ways to ease the load - for instance, schools in Scotland tend to break up at different times to English schools.
So those in Scotland could fly out of an English airport, like Newcastle of Manchester to avoid higher costs.
Or when Scottish schools go back early, any Northern customers heading on holiday could drive up to the likes of Edinburgh or Glasgow, and fly out of there where the cost will be lower.
