Hello everyone, welcome to our live coverage from the John Smith's Stadium as Hull KR look to make history in West Yorkshire.

The unbeaten Robins take on winless Huddersfield Giants in Super League this afternoon, and a win here would see them match the winning start to a season that they last achieved in the 1984/85 season, the last time they won a major trophy.

It's a nice record to go after for Willie Peters' side but they have to overcome a Giants side who, despite not winning a game yet, have been competitive in the vast majority of their games so far. In fact, they have been leading at half-time in five of their last six matches.

As ever, we're on hand before, during and after the game to take you through everything.

FULL-TIME

A nine-try performance puts Hull KR three points clear at the top of the league as they match their winning start to the title winning 1984/85 season. It ends 50-4.

Try time!

This is outrageous if given. What a try. Hiku breaks, it goes through hands, May grubbers for Davies and he scores. Sensational try, it's gone to the video ref.... and it's given!

HAT TRICK FOR MIKEY

There he goes. He's been sublime. Gildart breaks free this time, inside to Lewis who races over. I think he winded himself when scoring.

  • Share

When it rains

The Giants have now lost Adam Swift and George Flanagan Jr to injury in the last five minutes.

  • Share

JWH fuming.

He's been brought off for the final 8 minutes. He's absolutely livid!

  • Share

Mourgue kicks the extras

Rovers have 40.

  • Share

TRY - Rovers running riot

There's a seventh. Mourgue the provider, Lewis the scorer. He darts through the line from deep, stepping inside Lolohea, and finding the supporting Lewis. The pass looked way forward, not that Mikey cares.

  • Share

Converted by Mourgue

Five from six so far from the kicking tee.

  • Share

TRY - Sueeeeee

It's a sixth. And it's so easy. You know the try, we've seen it so many times! Flat pass from dummy half, Sue crashes on to it from a metre out and scores. Cruise control.

  • Share

There's another!

Mikey Lewis is just having a field day. Another assist, after producing the tackle that caused the knock on. He takes the ball to the line, keeps his arm free despite three defenders and Litten is ready to backup and score under the posts. Game over. Mourgue converts.

Close again for Rovers

Tanginoa goes close but is brought down. Rovers ask plenty of questions in the following plays but ends with Whitbread being tackled right under the sticks. The Giants have dropped the ball cold though and Rovers have another set.

  • Share

Mourgue converts

22-4 is the lead. 52 minutes played.

  • Share

TRY - Rovers on the way

That should seal it. Mikey Lewis involved once again. A brilliant sidestep to break the line. He slips as the fullback approaches, who then hurdles him. Lewis back to his feet gives it to Jai Whitbread, he storms over from ten yards.

Nothing to report

It's been a scrappy start to the half with both teams making errors. Taane Milne is cause Rovers some issues with his carries.

  • Share

Underway

Good first set for Huddersfield before dropping the ball.

  • Share

The away following

Outstanding turnout for the team today. Both teams back out for the second half.

  • Share

First-half thoughts

It wasn't a completely polished performance, a few yardage penalties conceded and some balls to ground. But Rovers' class showed enough to establish the lead. Mikey Lewis involved in everything. There's points to be scored here in the second half.

HALF-TIME

Three tries for Rovers puts them ahead 16-4 at half-time. Gildart opened the scoring but Huddersfield hit back after an excellent George Flanagan try. But Mikey Lewis got on the scoresheet, as did debutant Arthur Mourgue, and that has given the Robins a 16-4 lead.

It goes

Scrappy attacking set. Ends with an incorrect play the ball from Luckley. That will be half-time.

  • Share

Challenge unsuccessful

A chance for Rovers.

  • Share

Captain's challenge

Huddersfield have dropped the ball on their own line. They have contested it though. There's about a minute to play in the half.

  • Share

Close for Rovers

An attack down the left. May cuts out Lewis, goes to Gildart, scrambles it to Broadbent, he goes inside to Lewis who is about a metre short.

  • Share

Penalty Rovers

A few balls to ground in the last few minutes but Mourgue has just won Rovers a penalty with a high tackle.

  • Share

Misses the conversion

A twelve point lead with nine minutes to the break.

  • Share

TRY - Mourgue on debut!

Rovers have another! Lewis with a key role again, snapping up Flanagan's kick and racing 70 metres with the ball. He's brought down but Huddersfield never recover. A few plays later, the ball is shifted right, Hiku gets an arm free on Mourgue is on his shoulder for the try.

James Batchelor

He's come back up the tunnel and taken his place on the bench still in his kit. Hopefully, that's a good sign.

  • Share

Great defence Rovers

Adam Swift goes down a dead end as Peta Hiku crunches him, then he's helped to force Swift out of play. Great work. Rovers start on halfway.

  • Share

Injury for Rovers?

James Batchelor has just come off the field and gone straight down the tunnel. Not sure exactly what's gone on there. Nothing obvious.
