Braves Softball Team Unable to Get Games in Due to Weather, but Opener on Tap along with Pancakes

The start of the Bridgeport Middle School 2025 softball season has not gone as planned. They were scheduled to open the season on March 25 in Elkins to take on the Lady Hornets. The game was canceled due to very inclement weather in Elkins. The Lady Braves second game was scheduled for March 28 at Mountaineer Middle School. However, Mother Nature called for rain and the game was canceled. The aforementioned games have not yet been rescheduled.
BMS’ next game is set for Tuesday, April 1. They travel to Shinnston to take on the Lincoln Lady Wildcats. The first pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
On a brighter note, the Lady Braves will hold their annual pancake breakfast fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bridgeport on Saturday, April 12. The breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Tickets may be purchased from any Lady Braves softball player or at the door on the day of the event. The cost per ticket is $10. All proceeds benefit the BMS Boosters organization. Come hungry, enjoy a hot breakfast, and support a worthwhile cause.
