This $29 plan includes 50GB of data to use in Canada, unlimited texts and calls, and voicemail. Adding international calls costs another $5 per month, and adding U.S. data coverage brings the price up to $32, which is still quite reasonable.
Fizz also has no activation fee or contract and offers free eSIM cards, so there are no hidden fees when you sign up. Its unique rewards program can net you a few extra dollars off your plan every month as well.
However, Fizz runs on LTE, which should be fine for most people, but if you really need 5G, then you may want to look at other offers from competitors.
Freedom Mobile has a $35 plan that includes 60GB of 5G data that works in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, plus 5GB to use in 100+ other foreign destinations. (Note the price includes a $4/mo discount for bringing your own phone and an autopay discount.) We’ve recently tested Freedom and are very satisfied with how well it works.
Public Mobile has a $29 plan that also runs until March 31. It includes 20GB of 5G data that works in Canada, the USA, and Mexico and unlimited talk and text.
