Scottish beauty spot popular with tourists named among world’s biggest letdowns

A SCOTS beauty spot popular with tourists has been named among the world's biggest letdowns.
The shores of Loch Ness are known worldwide, with the legend of the Loch Ness Monster pulling in thousands of tourists each year.
But alleged sightings of the mythical creature are few and far between and some tourists have been left with a sour taste after their unfruitful visits.
Analysts at CasiMonka placed Loch Ness at number ten on its 'letdown' list, ranking it at a moderate 60.50 out of 100.
The firm used Reddit posts and comments as well as Google reviews of the world's most frequented tourist spots.
They also utilised AI sentiment analysis to measure the positivity and negativity of the reviews and cross-referenced them with a number of negative travel-related terms.

New York's Times Square, LA's Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Colosseum in Rome are all named among the world's "biggest tourist letdowns"
Several tourists have also taken to Tripadvisor to express their dissatisfaction with their visit to the Scots attraction, with 34 one-star 'terrible' ratings on the site.
One tourist wrote: "Massive disappointment. Travelled all the way from South Shields to see the Loch Ness Monster and it didn't show up. Spent hours in the rain and nothing."
Another said: "Spent a whole week there and never saw the monster once. The man at the shop told us if we sat perfectly still on the bench, we were more likely to see him, but we didn't see a thing. Lots of people were in and out of the shop and were usually laughing quite loud which could have scared him away. Not going back until something is done about the weather."

The majority of visitors are, however, impressed by Loch Ness' beauty - with more than 900 hailing it 'excellent'.
One contended visitor wrote: "Was upset not to see Nessie but had a lovely visit to this beautiful location with my family. Ticked off the bucket list!"
Another added: "Lovely Loch Ness is very scenic and world-famous iconic Scottish site for us to go and try and get a glimpse of Nessie. We also had gorgeous sunny and at times cloudy weather to enjoy sensational Scottish scenery. Recommended if you are driving through the Gorgeous Glencoe region in Spectacular Scotland."
