Former Australian cricketer David Warner took to social media to express his frustration over a significant delay on an Air India flight. Warner revealed that passengers, including himself, had boarded the aircraft only to find that there were no pilots available. The unexpected delay left them waiting on the plane for hours.
“@airindia we’ve boarded a plane with no pilots and waiting on the plane for hours. Why would you board passengers knowing that you have no pilots for the flight? 🤦♂️🤦♂️,” Warner posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Warner’s post quickly gained attention, sparking reactions from social media users. Some responses were lighthearted, referencing ongoing cricket events. “They are watching IPL, wait till the match ends 😀😀,” one user joked. Another commenter poked fun at the situation, writing, “Bro you finally felt the taste🤣.”
Others highlighted the silver lining, with one user noting, “At least they have not cancelled yet.”
NCP MP Supriya Sule on Friday slammed Air India over persistent flight delays, calling it “unacceptable.” In a post on X, she expressed frustration, stating that despite paying premium fares, flights are rarely on time, affecting professionals, children, and seniors.
She highlighted her own experience on flight AI0508, which was delayed by 1 hour and 19 minutes, reflecting a broader pattern of mismanagement. Sule urged Civil Aviation Minister to enforce stricter regulations for better service standards. In response, Air India acknowledged the delays, attributing them to operational challenges.
