IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CREED
The House of Creed is launching Eladaria, a dreamlike floral Eau De Parfum that captures the beauty of spring in its elegant pink glass bottle. A timeless gift for Mother’s Day, and beyond …
Creed fragrances have always been special. Founded in 1760, the House has created some 200 fine perfumes for kings and queens, stars and legends. One legendary standout is Green Irish Tweed (1985), an exquisitely chic blend of Florentine iris, violet leaves and Mysore sandalwood that’s worn by men and women alike (it’s said to have been a favourite of Cary Grant). A modern classic, it’s a timeless evocation of the Irish countryside. Love in White (2005) is a memorable, romantic floral that’s beloved by brides, while Virgin Island Water (2007) is a tropical holiday captured in a bottle, with sunshine, lime and coconut notes inspired by the Caribbean.
Creed’s best-known statement scent is Aventus, introduced in 2010: this explosion of sparkling fruit, patchouli and jasmine on a smooth base of oakmoss, sandalwood and vanilla, quickly became the runaway bestseller here in Ireland.
Supremely feminine and romantic, this dreamy, radiant take on rose opens with a bright burst of mandarin and bergamot, fresh and optimistic.
Eladaria, the scent of spring
And so to Eladaria, the newest arrival in the Creed line-up. Eladaria is Arabic for “the luxurious paradise”, and this soft rose-centred fragrance is inspired by a paradise garden at dawn. Supremely feminine and romantic, this dreamy, radiant take on rose opens with a bright burst of mandarin and bergamot, fresh and optimistic. At the perfume’s heart is a trio of roses, together with peonies and lily of the valley. Unlike a bouquet of flowers, however, this scent lasts, with a luxurious base of smooth musk, vanilla and cashmere wood for a lingering warmth. Eladaria is a classic, modern twist on rose – a floral fragrance that blooms for all seasons.
The Heritage of Creed
The House of Creed dates back to 1760, when James Henry Creed’s tailoring house sent a pair of scented leather gloves to the English King George III. In 1854, invited by Princess Eugénie, wife of Emperor Napoleon III, the House of Creed established a new headquarters in Paris, where it remains today. The House of Creed travels the world to source and commission the finest sustainable materials and perfume oils, from Bulgarian rose to Bourbon vanilla and Italian jasmine, for their Millésime Impérial fragrances. And these high-quality natural raw ingredients are still weighed out, mixed and macerated by hand, in Creed’s small, artisanal factory near Fontainebleu, France.
