LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Tourists remained happy with their vacations in Las Vegas in 2024, according to a survey released Tuesday.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority published its 2024 visitor profile study. The agency says the survey examines who's visiting the city, how they planned their trip, what they did, and how satisfied they were with Las Vegas.
A total of 5,418 interviews were conducted in 2024, with about 300 interviews taking place in-person and 150 monthly surveys online.

Nearly nine in 10 respondents, or 87%, said they were "very satisfied" with their visit, according to the survey, the same figure reported in 2023. Another 10% said they were "somewhat satisfied," while 2% said they were dissatisfied.
More than half of those surveyed (52%) said Las Vegas exceeded their expectations, which is up from the 48% reported the previous year.
More visitors were also wealthier. About 64% of people said their household income was $100,000 or greater, up from the 48% of visitors in that income bracket from 2023.
One in eight visitors, or 12%, came from abroad, about the same as 2023. About 55% of visitors came from Western U.S. states, including 32% from California.
About four out of five visitors, or 78%, said they gambled during their stay, which was largely unchanged from 2023. The overall gaming budget was just over $820, the highest number reported over the last four years.
