Award-winning, renowned chocolatier, artist and chef, Janice Wong, is taking her culinary offerings to local resorts this May.

She will be collaborating with the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay and Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort to provide a series of exclusive guest dinner events and one of her world-class chocolate art installations.

With a career spanning close to two decades, Singaporean-based chef has been marked by innovation and creativity with her eclectic installations.

She has previously created the world’s largest chocolate exhibition in Mexico and has pioneered incredible edible art and 3D-printed chocolates.

“Chocolate art and dessert to me is always about evoking the five senses and pushing the boundaries,” Ms Wong said.

“I am thrilled to partner with Marriott International Fiji Hotels, working with the local teams, learning new cultural techniques and immersing myself in the vibrant culture Fiji has to offer.”

From May 4 to 8, she will be at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort where guests are expected to experience her culinary genius.

She will host a Sip & Paint event on May 5, a five-course dinner event with the Resort’s Chef de’ Cuisine Dante at Tatavu Grill & Bar on May 6, a live culinary showcase at an elite cocktail at the Resort’s popular outdoor venue.

From May 9 to 14, the partnership will see her take over Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay’s outlets with an exclusive cocktail event at the Resort’s Lagoon Lounge on May 9 and a champagne dinner event at Fish Bar on May 11, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and featuring desserts.

Ms Wong will also be hosting a chocolate painting class on May 12 to celebrate Mother’s Day.

In addition to the events across both Resorts, Ms Wong will launch an ongoing menu item at Tatavu Grill & Bar and Fish Bar, available from May 4 to August 31 and delivered by the restaurant’s culinary teams.

Built over a week, Ms Wong will develop one of her famous chocolate art installations, utilising 20kg of chocolate from local Fiji brands Vanua and KokoMana and salt from South Seas Salt.

“We are honoured to collaborate with Janice Wong to bring this exceptional culinary experience to our guests. This partnership underscores our commitment to delivering unparalleled experiences that celebrate artistry, innovation, and the rich culinary heritage of Fiji,” said Marriott International multi-property vice president Pacific Islands and general manager of Sheraton & Westin Resorts – Fiji Complex Neeraj Chadha.
