Goode enters transfer portal after earning degree at Illinois

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Luke Goode will finish up his college playing career at a new school.

After three seasons at Illinois, Goode announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Monday.

Goode earned his undergraduate degree in three years. In his message on social media, the shooting guard referred to himself as “Fighting Illini for life!”

Goode saw his role on the Illinois team progress every year. As a junior, he played in all 38 games, with seven starts, averaging 5.7 points per game.

The Homestead grad was one of the state’s top high school players his senior year in high school, putting up 19.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game that season, while shooting 40.4% on three-pointers.
