McKenzie Co. 4-H'ers Achieve At NW District Archery Match Minot Feb. 1

McKenzie County 4-H’ers received top honors in the Northwest District Archery Match on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Minot.

Team members Beau Hovland, Jax Hovde, Brianna Rink and McCoy Lawlar placed first in the Beginner Division of Bare Bow competition. Other participants were: Jacob Rink and Isaiah Crain.

The Junior Freestyle team captured second place honors with Jake Ceynar shooting a perfect 150 score (30 bullseyes), taking first place. Other team members were: Wyatt Boekelman, Dylon Cargo and Ryan Pingel. Also shooting were: Thayden Arnold, Emily Blanton, Noah Crain and Luke Smith.

Juniors achieved again, this time receiving 2nd place in Barebow. Second place individually went to Ryan Pingel and 5th place was won by Jake Ceynar. Other team members were Luke Smith and Isabelle Crain.

Shooting Beginner Freestyle were: Emma Arnold, Nicholas Ellis and Jax Hovde. Senior Freestyle participants were: Colton Crist, Clay Ceynar, Cash Tachenko, Shyanna and Skyla Hovde and David Crain. Finally, McKenzie County Senior Barebow entries were: Clay Ceynar and Skyla and Shyanna Hovde.
