The Stutsman County Commission on Tuesday unanimously approved loan criteria from the state of North Dakota regarding a runway and taxiway project at Jamestown Regional Airport.

The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority request of the city of Jamestown and Stutsman County Commission was to allow diversion of airport property tax mill levy revenue to the state of North Dakota for one year should the airport authority default on its $126,500 loan. The loan was the airport authority portion of the $2.5 million project with the remainder from the Federal Aviation Administration and the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission, according to Sam Seafeldt, airport director.

In other business, the county commission unanimously approved:

• a travel request for two staff of the Stutsman County Correctional Center to attend an out-of-state training.

• a $7,710 Homeland Security grant to allow Josh Smaage, director of information technology for Stutsman County, to attend a cybersecurity conference with the SANS Institute.

• poll workers already identified for the November general election

• changing the Oct. 16 county commission meeting to Oct. 23, and the Nov. 6 meeting to Nov. 13.
